Motivation has no handicap

A story about willpower, new beginnings and 16 gold medals at the Paralympics - how to overcome setbacks, gain new perspectives and inspire others.

Gerd Schönfelder is the most successful athlete in the history of the Winter Paralympics with 16 gold medals between 1992 and 2010. After a serious accident at the age of 19, in which he lost his right arm and four fingers, he fought his way back and became a ski racer.

His greatest personal victory today is to have come out of his lowest point and to have gained the self-confidence to show himself as he is.
