The lodge Kreuzjochhaus has already seen and expertienced a lot. Politicians and managers confering. Bosses and employees gaining motivation. Tired hikers and reveling societies. Recent amored and newly weds picking stars.

Is there going to be a lot of change with the new operating company? And if so, to what extend?

Interview with Event-Lodge-Host Joachim John (Joe).

Congretulations for taking over the lodge. When will you start running Kreuzjochhaus?

Joe: Thanks for the lucky word, we can definitely need some good luck and a bit of fortune. Officially we´ll start in June, but I´d rather put it an the 1st of July. There is quite a lot to handle, in order to set up the lodge the way we want it to.

What concept and vision do you have in detail?

Joe: We´ll keep the charming athmosphere, the cosiness and the bavarian ambient. The lodge is going to stay authentic, but nevertheless we need to introduce some new accents. Companies, willing to do a conference, have diffenent requirements, which can´t only be satisfied by creating a homely surrounding. There is quite a bit of an investment and some steps of vitalisation. Within the rooms and showers the comfort will be taken on a higher level. The conference room is going to be equiped with finest technology and there are some other parts on thought, which can´t be mentioned right now.

But the capacities can be sproken through?

Joe: Cosy double rooms and some dorm rooms will be available for approximately 45 persons. The lounge room will fit some 65 guests, accompanied by two large chimney´s. Our conference room fits about 25 people.

Where is the Kreuzjochhaus situated and how can we reach it?

Joe: Aside the main tourist flow, our Kreuzjochhaus is placed on 1600m occupying the Kreuzjoch, right next to the top station of Kreuzeck cable car. Definetly it´s quiet and blessed by the sun. The place offer´s a terrific panorama view and clean air for fresh thoughts. Our positioning of being an "Alpine Island" is accounted to this inspiring location. Whoever is not willing to take the cable car up the maountain, can take a 2 ½ h hike and by mountainbike its as well possible to clamber the Kreuzjoch in about 1 ½ h. Last but not least we offer a probate mountain vehicle to get people and luggage up the lodge.

Is it already possible to make reservations?

Joe: Definitly, the lodge is keept running all year long. And you know... whoever is late and so on! Newyears is already sold and other peaks as well...
